Getting Started

Everything you need to know about joining Move it Mama and finding your way around.

Move it Mama is a fitness app built by mums, for mums. It features 15+ weekly live workouts, an extensive on-demand library, structured programmes (beginner, pregnancy, postpartum, strength, and more), a supportive community, and workout tracking — all designed to fit around the demands of motherhood.

Head to app.moveitmama.co.nz/sign-up to create your account. Choose your membership plan (weekly, monthly, or annual), then download the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play to work out on the go.

Yes. We have programs for every fitness level, from complete beginners to advanced. Our postnatal program starts gently and builds up gradually, so you can go at your own pace.

Yes. We have a dedicated prenatal program designed by certified pre/postnatal fitness specialists. All exercises are pregnancy-safe with modifications for each trimester. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting any exercise program during pregnancy.

Not at all! While our founder Lisa started the community during the demands of raising four boys (hence the name), Move it Mama welcomes everyone. The workouts and community are for anyone who wants to get moving. Learn more about us.

Yes. Move it Mama is available as both a mobile app (iOS and Android) and a web app, so you can work out on whichever device suits you.

Workouts & Programmes

What to expect from our workouts, programmes, and live classes.

We offer a huge variety including HIIT, Loaded (weights), Hybrid 35 (mix of weights and bodyweight), Pilates, Strength (bodyweight), Box Jam, yoga, and more. We also have structured programmes like From the Beginning, Postpartum & Core Rehab, One Step at a Time, Pregnancy Fit, and Gym with MIM.

Our workouts range from 10 to 45 minutes. We know people are busy, so many of our most popular workouts are 20 minutes.

Many workouts are bodyweight-only, including Back to Basics, HIIT, Strength, and Box Jam. Some programmes like Loaded, Hybrid 35, and Gym with MIM use equipment. For weights-based workouts, we recommend starting with one set of dumbbells (3–5kg for beginners) and a kettlebell (8–12kg). We always show alternatives where possible.

Trainers go live 5 minutes before each session starts. Live workouts appear prominently on the “For you” tab. Enable push notifications so you never miss one! If you can't make a live class, all workouts are saved to the on-demand library afterwards.

No worries! All workouts remain available in the on-demand library after they air. You can search by trainer, type, duration, or target area in the “Explore” tab.

In most cases, yes. You can use screen mirroring, Google Home, or cast from the web app on your laptop. The exact method depends on your device and TV setup — check the in-app FAQs for step-by-step instructions.

Offline downloads aren't available just yet, but this is something we're looking at adding in the future. For now, you'll need an internet connection to stream workouts.

We offer three membership options: Weekly at $9.99/week, Monthly at $29.99/month (includes a 7-day free trial), or Annual at $240/year — that's just $20/month (also includes a 7-day free trial). All plans give you full access to everything. See our pricing page for details.

Yes! We offer a 7-day free trial on our monthly and annual plans. You'll get full access to everything — all workouts, programmes, and community features. No commitment required, cancel anytime during the trial. Start your free trial.

Everything! Your membership includes all live classes, the entire on-demand workout library, all structured programmes, community access, workout tracking, the planner, and podcast content. There are no extra costs or hidden fees.

Yes, you can cancel at any time with no lock-in contracts or cancellation fees. If you signed up via the web app, cancel through your online account. If you signed up via the App Store or Google Play, cancel through your store account settings. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. You can manage your subscription through your account settings in the web app, or through the App Store / Google Play if you subscribed there. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.

Yes, all prices include GST where applicable. Any additional taxes or fees imposed by app store providers (Apple or Google) are outside our control.

Account & Tech Support

Help with your account, the app, and troubleshooting common issues.

First, make sure you're using the same email address you signed up with. Try resetting your password via the login screen. If you're still stuck, contact us at subscriptions@moveitmama.co.nz and we'll get you sorted.

Make sure you download the Move it Mama app from the App Store or Google Play, then log in with the same email and password you used to sign up on the website. Your account works across both platforms.

Try these steps: make sure you're running the latest version of the app (check for updates in your app store), restart the app, and check your internet connection. If the issue persists, email us at subscriptions@moveitmama.co.nz with details of the problem and your device type.

You can update your profile information from the “Profile” tab in the app or through the web app. For billing or email changes, visit your account settings or contact us for assistance.

Move it Mama combines workouts with a genuine, supportive community and real-life connection. It's not just about exercise — it's about finding your sparkle through movement, consistency, and being part of a crew that gets it. Our trainers are real mums who understand the journey, and the app is beautifully designed to make fitness feel achievable, not overwhelming.

The “Community” tab is a social feed where members can share workout completions, photos, reviews, and encouragement. You can choose to share publicly or keep your activity private. It's like a supportive group chat for your fitness journey.

The Sparkle Pod is the Move it Mama podcast, available within the app and wherever you stream podcasts. It covers topics around fitness, motherhood, wellbeing, and more.

From time to time we host in-person bootcamps and meetups. Keep an eye on the app and our social media for upcoming events near you.
